The 4th at the pool

After the pancake breakfast we headed to the pool for some afternoon sun. They had plenty of activities set up for the kids. Braxton and Darrian had fun doing some of the pool relays and races. Grayson and Lauren as usual just played in the water and mommy and daddy soaked up the sun. We had to cut the day a little short since the weather (once again) didn't cooperate and became very overcast. Luckily we packed up and headed home just in time before the thunder and rain came.

4th of July Pancake Breakfast

To start off our 4th of July, we headed over to the church for a "red white and bluau". They had great food and a lot of fun activities for the kids. Lauren LOVES to hoola hoop as does Dari, Braxton took off leading the sac race and daddy even joined in the fun. It was hysterical. And then of course there was Grayson who refused to do anything but lay on the ground and keep repeating that he wanted to go home. ughhh

Camping - Morby Style

We decided to take the kids camping again this year.......to our backyard. With what how now apparently becoming a annual tradition, we camped in our wonderful open space last Memorial Day and this year pushed it back to the 4th of July weekend. Here is daddy setting up our tent on Thursday and of course the kids enjoying their "camping experience". We managed to get two nights out of our tent as the weather wasn't exactly in our favor. Lightening and thunder even sent the girls in a bit scared the last night as they tried to brave it out there alone. While I do enjoy camping, I was raised sleeping in a trailer when we would venture out into the wilderness, so this is about as adventurous as my family will get until the time comes we can expand our budget and camping gear to accommodate a recreational vehicle.

The begining of the 4th

We started our 4th of July weekend off with a trip to the pool with friends on Friday. The twins have now decided they want no part in the baby pool and suit up for the big pool. Here are some pics from our pre-4th of July festivities.

First trip to the movies

This morning we went to the free kiddie movies that a local theater has during the summer. Madagascar 2 was playing so I thought it would be a great time to try out the experience with the twins. This was their first time. Needless to say it went very well. They have boosters for the kids so that they can see better and don't have to lean on the edge of the seats. Afterwards we went to Red Robin (their favorite restaurant) and had lunch. Carissa, Morgan and Mason joined us for the morning. We had a lot of fun and will be doing it again before the summers end.





By the time we got home, everyone was ready to relax - including mom, but no chance of that. Lauren took her normal position on the floor with her lady bugs, pillow and "put". Shortly there after she said "mom the tv is too loud and I am trying to go to sleep, please turn it down, I'm so tired"...and this is what I found. Now if this isn't a princess in the making I don't know what is.
