CA or Bust

I hate packing! I hate it I hate it I hate it! But it's done!

We are leaving in approx 7 hours for CA and I couldn't be happier! My best friend is getting married to an awesome chicka and I am just thrilled for the both of them. We will drive to St. George, UT tomorrow and and stay the night and then off to San Diego on Thurs. The grand event will take place Friday. We will hang out in SD on Saturday and take the kiddos to Lego Land. This will be their first time to any sort of amusement park. Wish us luck. Sunday we will drive to Sacramento and set up shop there for 2 weeks. My hubby has to fly back to work for a week (I will so miss him) but then will join us again the night before Halloween. Lots planned, much to do and tons of friends and family to see.Oh yea and another reception for John in Sac. We will be busy! Think of us while we are clockin major miles on our Mormon sportscar! ;)

Taa Taa for now!

October in Colorado

We woke up to this last Saturday! My Halloween decorations aren't suppose to have snow on them! This is not the normal for us here in CO for this time of year. Although, one thing I have learned in my almost 5 years here now, is that the weather can change in a heartbeat. Last year at Halloween the weather was perfect, the year before - freezing! But I have never seen snow in the month of October before. We didn't get much but got enough to get the kids excited and head off to the store for new boots and snow suits. It will be weird to be back in Sacramento for Halloween this year, but one things for sure, I'm certain we won't be as layered up as we would be if we were staying home. Winter is definitely here!

My Little Punky Brewster

Our little pre-halloween dress up fun. We have gotten Lauren some new tights recently and this was one of the pairs. I just love funky tights and skirts on little girls and lucky for me, my little punky likes wearing them!

Life has been good

Things have been busy lately. Just trying to go with the flow. Nothing to exciting to report out of the daily norm. Just think that I am learning to try and take one step back and two steps forward. Not sweat the small stuff and roll with the flow. Volleyball has been super fun. Bowling is a freakin riot. I suck most of the time and then pulled a 228 out of my butt two weeks ago. Of course that wasn't when it counted though. It was just for fun and clearly will never happen again....or at least when it matters. Last week I managed to get a 190 in one game. Progess is being made folks. I have made lots of progress around the house with various mini projects I have had. Grayson is over his head cold. We are still crossing our fingers that Lauren's little nasal congestion doesn't manifest itself into something more. I am SOOOO excited that we are leaving two weeks from today for my CA BFF's wedding! :) John "My Mejo" Turner is marrying Lindsaaaaaaaay Cook on Fri, Oct 23rd in the San Deigo temple. To say I am excited would be a huge understatement. Words cant describe how stinkin happy I am for the both of them. We will head to Sacramento after the wedding weekend and spend 2 more weeks with family. He will have another reception/open house in Sac and then we will head home. The kids are excited to be in Sac for Halloween. Lauren will be snow white and Grayson a lion!!! It will suck to not be with the girls this year since the kids were really getting into the whole trick or treat thing last year. I believe Braxton is going to be a football player and Darrian a vampire. Well I guess that's it for now. Until next time.

Oh and I LOVE MY FAMILY! Heath is the best, my kids are beautiful and I am fat! Isn't that a happy family? Oh wait!
