Slumber party & new chairs

So the last night that grandma Marlene was here Lauren insisted she sleep on the floor with her and Grayson in the basement. Here is a cute pic of the beds that Lauren laid out for all of them. Too cute.

Here are the new "club" chairs that grandma picked up for the twins playroom. We won't talk about how nasty the fabric chairs had become that they previously had. Quite professional looking I must stay.

Seriously, So Blessed = Blog Of The Year

So Eliza sent me a link to the most funniest blog ever!!! She had received it from her sister who probably heard if from someone who new someone who had talked to someone's brothers dogs uncles nephews next door neighbors aunts uncles ex wife who had heard about it at the nail salon. Anyway, it's totally fake, the author is anonymous and it's a freakin RIOT. A total spoof on Mormon wives and the way we are obsessed with our husbands, blogging, crafting, church callings, shopping and much much more. Just a normal day in the life of a Mormon mom I guess. Or let me rephrase that...probably more like a Utah Mormon mom! :) Her blog is called "Seriously, So Blessed" and well worth the read. She only started it in June as a joke and it has totally blown up. She has thousands of followers now, not to mention about 50-100 comments posted each day.

Cick here to watch a video of her (anonymously of course) on a local Utah news channel and click here to check out her blog or use the link on the side bar.

This is truly good times. Everyone needs a good laugh once and a while, even if it may be about ourselves. Thanks TAMN!! :)

Pizza Elmo

The twins got a birthday gift in the mail from one of Grandma Marlene's friends. It was a nice surprise. I had never seen this type of Elmo before but the kids just loved it. It sings and says jokes. They couldn't get enough. Lauren had the song down pat in no time and have been obsessed with it for days.

Birthday time at preschool

On Monday (9/22/08) we wanted to celebrate with Grayson at his therapy preschool. So Grammie Morby, Great Grandma Marlene, Lauren and I headed over to surprise Grayson with cupcakes for his class. It was a riot how the kids loved just having a "special" snack and sang happy birthday. Of course nothing we do isn't without some additional excitement and just as we were getting things underway, the school had a fire drill. So we loaded up and walked out to the curb. I quickly saw why there has to be 4 ladies to watch 10 kids. Here are some cute pics from our time at Graysons school. (I think his shirt says it all).

On Thursday (9/25/08) Grandma Marlene, daddy and I went to the twins preschool at Karen's home (Bright Beginnings) to celebrate their birthday at snack time. We brought the cutest decorated sugar cookies that we found at King Soopers. The kids were very excited to see us and really enjoyed their spotlight during snack time. We sang happy birthday and Karen made them cute crowns.....which they wore proudly.

I snapped a pic of these adorable paper dolls of the twins. We had worked on these a couple of weeks ago as homework assignments. Karen had them hanging from the ceiling through the room. I think they are so cute.

3rd Year check up

I just had to post these pics from the doctors this week for the twins 3 year check up. Keep in mind EVERY appointment thus far (and there have been many), has been pure torture....especially when it was just me - since I can't console them at the same time. The crying begins the second we step on to the scale till the end when we are getting our stickers. They were terrified of the doctor and the entire event would turn into a huge meltdown for the 20 minutes we fought through the process. Well apparently this has all changed. I have seen such a dramatic change in the twins just these past few months that even during Grayson's cast ordeal, we managed to have all appointments with no problems. He was great to say the least. Well their 3rd year check up was no different. Now of course they didn't get shots, but we only have a couple more years until that happens again. Anyway, I didn't know they gave them these hysterical smocks to wear for the check up....needless to say, the kids loved them and even wanted to take them home. If I wasn't the honest person I am, I would have figured out a way to snag a couple to take home. By the end of the appt they were saying "we love the dr's." Whew.....one huge hurtile down, now only a million more to go. (Now only if they felt the same about the dentist). Here are some cute pics.

Happy 3rd Birthday Grayson & Lauren

So my babies turned 3 this past Saturday, September 20th, 2008!!! Yep it was 3 years ago that my little twins entered this world at 10:24am and 10:25am. Our lives haven't been the same since.

We had their birthday party at the house and the kids had a great time. We did a craft project where they painted their hands on a canvass that I had pre-painted and hung ribbon from it so that the kids could put it on their walls as art. We had cake, opened gifts and just played. It was great. They have for sure gotten down the concept of gifts now. Lauren couldn't get enough and kept saying "more presents mommy more presents." That's when you realize that your kid probably has gotten too many gifts.

Here are some pics from their special day. You can see all the pics from their birthday and past months on our Snapfish website by clicking here.

Trick or Treat

So last week I went to an Enrichment Focus Group night at our wonderful RS Presidents house and she showed us how to make these adorable Trick or Treat banners out of scrapbook paper and some ribbon. Of course she came up with this idea on her own. She rocks. Anyway, I loved them so much I had to make more. I made 6 total - one of which says Happy Harvest. They take FOREVERRRRRRR to make and I have never cut so much paper in my life, but they are adorable and worth every minute. Here is a really bad pic of all of them across my table. I had to squish them in to get them on the table but when hung up they are so cute!!! I just had to show them off.
