My sick little guy

Monday we found out Grayson has pneumonia. He had been sick for a few days with a fever but that was about it. Sunday he started coughing up a storm and it really took over his entire body. Throwing up all the time from coughing so hard and and in tons of pain from just not feeling well. I am so glad I took him in on Monday and got this under control. He is on antibiotics for 5 days that will stay in his system for 10 and is having nebulizer treatments for a week. He is such a good little boy even when he's sick. Here he is multi tasking on the couch while having a treatment.

I received this AMAZING necklace from Heath's best friend and his wife, Jeff & Annette. She makes these beautiful necklaces herself and has a terrific website you need to check out.

Here is the website.

I am so excited to have this necklace and think it's so beautiful. It was very thoughtful of her to take the time to make this for me. I truly appreciate it. I can't wait to show it off to everyone.

THANK YOU ANNETTE!

Jacket for G Dawg

I got Darrian a cute pink hoodie for xmas and placed an iron on "D" on the front of it. It's adorable. I wanted to do something similar for Grayson and though a letter "G" on the front would be a bit to girly. Needless to say, I found this $7 hoodie at Target that has a great furry lining and decided to embellish the back of it. I stressed over what to put, ie. Morby, Grayson or G. Wilder as his Gpa Morby calls him. I opted for the easiest and went with what you see. I think it came out super cute and was really easy. Love ya G Dawg!

Baby Macy part 2

Apparently the link to the Bella Baby wesbite I spoke of in the previous post has expired. I still wanted to post some of the other pictures taken that weren't used in her birth announcment.

Baby Macy

I have been very bad about updating my blog this past month, and probably for good reason. 2 days after Christmas our lives changed forever. We have had a whirl wind experience adopting our beautiful daughter Macy. Today she is 4 weeks old.

Here is the short version of the story........

We received at call 4 weeks ago today, Sunday, 12/27, morning at 8:30am that a baby boy was to be born via C section in an hour in Utah and we were chosen to be the parents. What the wha!?!?!? After almost going into cardiac arrest and running in circles, I gained my composure, shared the news with Heath (I almost fell into the door trying to open it as he was in the bathroom - ewww) and frantically started to pack our family up for the trip. No matter how long you prepare for something like this, you are never really prepared. We have waited so long and had so many close calls, you just never know when it's really going to happen.

So after telling all the kids and grandma Marlene who was here for the holidays, an hour later we received another call that there was a "problem". UH HUH!!! My heart literally skipped a beat.....(which is no big deal cause I have extra beats according to my cardiologist anyway - ha). I seriously thought the birth mother had changed her mind or Heath thought it was twins! Well to everyone's surprise, the baby boy came out a GIRL! :) Uh yea, that's NOT A PROBLEM! We sooooo didn't care and as fast as we could, we scurried around the house for the next 3 hours to get everything ready and by 12:30pm we were in the car for our 8 hour drive with no idea of when we would return home. At 9:00pm that night, we were holding our new daughter in our arms. I'm still pinching myself.

MACY ALIDA MORBY / 5 lbs 13 oz / 17 1/2 in long / born 12/27/09 @ 9:55am

Macy was born a month early (Fri 1/22 was her original due date), but she is such a strong healthy little princess doing great! At her 2 week check up she had gained all her weight back she lost in the hospital and was up to 6lbs 8 oz. She is such a sweet good natured baby and has brought so much to this family. We feel like we are not busier, but BETTER! Macy is truly a miracle from Heaven.

I have attached the following link so that you can view Macy's baby pics that were taken by a photographer in the hospital when she was 2 days old. Macy also has a 2 year old sister that we met named Ka-Maya. She is beautiful and I have no doubt will resemble her sister very much.

once you get to this website, click on the middle box "view photos" and then enter "1227macymorby" and enjoy!

We look forward to sharing our new bundle of joy with all our friends and family and are so thankful for everyone's support.

Here is her birth announcement, and a few pics from this past week. She is already filling out so well and before long will be out of her new born clothes. She is our little chocolate princess!

Christmas 2009

We had a wonderful Christmas. It is great how the twins are finally old enough to really, and I mean REALLY, enjoy it. This is what the tree looked like on xmas eve. Heath and I stayed up late to assemble Grayson's drum set only to find missing and defective parts. Very frustrating! Lauren got a new kitchen and the girls got a Wii. (Well the family got a Wii). :) We couldn't go to bed until we put cookies out for Santa (of which we tracked on line all night long with Santa tracker - it was great). We also put out his reindeer food that Lauren received from her preschool. The next morning.....it was ALL GONE! Braxton tried to stay up to help and just couldn't hang any longer and passed out on the floor around midnight. And boy did she pass out. Never have seen a sleeping position like this before. ha Here are the the highlights.

December 2009

So we have had a CRAZY last few weeks and now I am playing catch up on here. I hate getting behind. We had a lot of fun things happen in December including our ward xmas party, each of Darrian's & Braxton's school music recitals, Lauren's xmas dance show and a visit from Santa at Grayson's school holiday party. He wanted nothing to do with Santa but Lauren at least got close. We weren't aware that there was going to be dancing at the ward party and needless to say, Lauren HAD A BLAST! Here are the highlights.
